Preparing for Sunday:

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me-practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Phil 4:8-9, ESV)

Who is Paul speaking to in this passage?

What does this passage call you to do?

What makes Paul’s reference to peace different in this passage then that found in our last passage?

How does Paul challenge us to deal with our trials?

RE Troy Brinkley and RE Joe Williams as well as Deacon Ken Anderson all rotate off of their respective boards 12/31/2016. Begin praying about officers as we will be having officer nominations in September.

The Monday Evening and Tuesday Evening Small groups will resume on Monday, August 22 and Tuesday August 23.

Are you interested in joining EPC? See the pastor or email the office for a new member information form. An Inquirer’s Class is right around the corner. This class is open for ages 12 and up. If we have children younger than twelve interested in a Communicant’s Class, please see the Pastor ASAP.

The Name Change Committee reported to the Session at the meeting this past Sunday. They recommended and the Session approved, that EPC make no change at this time but to revisit this topic when attendance has increased and all of our new changes have been fully implemented.

During the next 30 days, commit to calling one person in the Church (active and home bound members) each day just to say “hello.” You can not call the same person twice in the 30 day period. Simple challenge, 1 call each day to a different person in the Church. Consider sharing with them what the Lord is doing in your life today.
